System Dynamics, Fourth Edition
Author: Ogata
Publisher: Prentice Hall
The purpose of this course is to model dynamic systems, to analyze their responses and to see the connections between the dynamic systems of various disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fluid, thermal, biological). Other important topics which will be covered are Laplace transforms, transfer functions and state variable representations, system time response (relationship to pole locations), and control system design procedures. In addition, computer-aided analysis and design will be emphasized throughout the course. The software package MATLAB will be used extensively.
The course grade will be based on two midterm examinations, weekly quizzes, a final exam and a set of labs that make up a project.
ENGSC 2613 and MATH 2613.
